A display specimen of an uncut polyhedral agate from Paraiba, Brazil. This rare specimen of polyhedral agate is believed to have been mined during the 1970’s. The exact way in which this formation occurred is still not confirmed, however it is likely to have formed by agate filling the voids between calcite crystals, resulting in a beautiful angular agate. The piece measures approximately 14 x 9 x 4.5 cm at its widest points and weighs roughly 526 grams. Please note that this sample has some slight chipping along its edges. The specimen will be supplied with an information label and perspex stand.
