Porphyritic trachyte from East Lothian, Scotland exhibiting excellent rhomb porphyry crystal inclusions of feldspar. These rock specimens are available in a range of sizes and will come with a tray and a data label.
Trachyte is an igneous rock produced by volcanic activity, unlike sanidine trachyte or standard trachyte, these specimens also exhibit larger porphyritic crystals of feldspar within it as well with an almost rhomb shaped crystal structure. These particular rock specimens come from the former Bangley Quarry, north of Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland and are available in various sizes and will come supplied in a card tray with an information label.
