Potamides Vagans gastropod mollusc collected from the Oligocene Headon Beds of Headon Hill, Isle of Wight. These specimens are in good condition, they have fine nodes which twist around shell in a spiral fashion. The shells measure between 1 and 2 cm in length and are supplied in small plastic bags with an information label. The Headon Beds in which these gastropods were found are comprised of freshwater, brackish and marine deposits but it is brackish environments which Potamides gastropods favour.
