Prehnite is a well known mineral used as a gemstone, it has a green colouration which can range from striking and vibrant to calm and pale. It is often found with associated zeolite groups of minerals including stilbite, apophyllite and more. It is an alumosilicates and is often found in stalactitic or botryoidal crystal forms. These specimens show a pale green to waxy yellow colour and have formed in a basalt matrix, some samples may also show small inclusions of chrysocolla.
