Purpura haemastoma marine gastropod mollusc collected from Pleistocene sediments in Kos, Greece. This genus of predatory sea snail has a beautifully ornamented shell; they are also referred to as ‘rock snails’. The shells exhibit minor ribbing and smooth bumps or nodes protrude from the shell in a radial fashion. We have two sizes in stock, small sizes measure between 2 and 3 cm from the base of the aperture to the apex. Large sizes measure between 3 and 4 cm. These specimens are in good condition and are supplied in a small plastic bags with an information label.
