Rock crystal points, (also called quartz points) large in size with B grade quality, the crystals show the termination of a quartz crystal in some cases as well as the bodies of the crystals, which show the crystals hexagonal habit. However due to the lower quality of these specimens, they are not as transparent or of ‘text book’ quality as our other samples. These specimens are ideally suited for educational use where multiple specimens may be required for a class to observe. They are large and so easy to observe, approximately 20 mm to 100 mm in length. Quartz is one of the most common minerals found on the surface of earth, a silica mineral and is found as a common constituent in many rocks. It has many other variations depending on chemistry of colour such as amethyst, citrine, jasper, agate and more. these pieces are supplied by weight in lots of 1 kilogram and come in a polythene bag with an information label.
