Scaphites sp Ammonite from the Cretaceous Bear Paw Shale Formation of South Dakota. The ornamentation of this ammonite makes it particularly appealing. The shell is nacreous in places i.e. resembles mother of pearl and it exhibits tubercles and ribs. These specimens comes in two sizes: medium - 3.5 cm and large - 5 cm in diameter and is supplied in a small plastic bag with an information label. *Note* the tubercles and ribs may not be as prominent/developed in the smaller, medium specimens.
