Sinum aquense gastropod mollusc collected from Miocene sediments in Leognan, France. Sinum is a genus of predatory sea snail that belong to the family Naticidae. Most gastropods belonging to this family have a globular shaped shell however Sinum gastropods have a characteristically flattened shell which look almost ear shaped. Some people actually refer to these gastropods as ‘ear snails’.These specimens are in good condition; they measure between 1 – 1.5 cm in size and would make a welcome addition to any collection. Supplied in a small plastic bag with an information label.
