Sphalerite and chalcopyrite are two minerals commonly associated with each other. These samples were found in Mexico, the sphalerite, a zinc ore is a dull grey colour with a metallic lustre where as the chalcopyrite is a brassy yellow colour, again with a metallic lustre. Both are quite dense minerals and the two together in these specimens makes for an excellent eye catching contrast of colours. Both minerals are in a crystalline form and are available in two sizes only, they willcome supplied in a card tray with an information label.
