Thamnasteria fossil coral of Jurassic age, collected from Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire, UK. Thamnasteria is an extinct genus of scleractinian coral, they are believed to have been photosymbiotic - suspension feeders which occupied shallow marine environments. These fossil corals are supplied in 2 x 2" and 3 x 2" card trays depending on their size, naturally their size varies.
