Tyvek is a form of flash spun high-density polyethylene fibers, a synthetic material that is very strong, difficult to tear; waterproof, breathable and can withstand temperatures safely up to 117 degrees Celsius. This particular paper is 115 gsm per sheet. Each sheet measures 294 x 225 mm which is larger than a standard A4.

Tyvek is a form of flash spun high-density polyethylene fibers, a synthetic material that is very strong, difficult to tear; waterproof, breathable and can withstand temperatures safely up to 117 degrees Celsius. Often used in the mining and mineral exploration sector in the form of sample collecting bags, this variety of tyvek is known as ‘industrial’ and feels and acts more like paper. This has all the advantages of tyvek material with the ability to be written on. Due to the temperature range tyvek can withstand, the tags can be kept with specimens, even when placed in ovens at or below 117 degrees Celsius when drying.

The tyvek pages are made using the process which produces ‘industrial grade’ tyvek, which can be made thinner than textile grade (the grade used to manufacture tyvek bags), and is therefore much easier to write on. Each sheet measures 294 x 225 mm in size and is supplied in packs of 100 pages. Please note that this is larger than a standard A4 piece of paper
