Unakite is a mineral which was discovered in the Unkas mountains in the state of North Carolina, it is a variation of granite, mostly famous because it contains epidote, along with orthoclase feldspar, this has given the rock a mottled pink and green colouration which has made it unique among other rocks and gemstones. It is classed as a semi precious stone, often being polished or carved in to various shapes and objects as this brings out the colours more. These are unkaite tumblestones, tumbled and polished making them shiny in appearance and smooth to touch, available as a single piece or in quantities.
