Vanadinite hexagonal crystals. Single specimens of hexagonal vanadinite crystals found in Morocco. Vanadinite is a mineral which belongs to the apatite group of phosphates. It forms as a secondary mineral in the oxidation zone of lead deposits in arid climates. It has a hexagonal crystal system with a resinous lustre and a brownish yellow streak.These samples are hexagonal in shape and are dark red to dark orange in colour. Specimens are supplied in a small mag box with an information label.

It forms during the oxidation of lead ores in arid environments such as deserts. Samples are available in various sizes and supplied in a card tray with a data label.

Tektite mineral specimens which were collected from Thailand, and have formed an irregular ‘tear drop’ shape. Each specimen measures 10 – 20mm approx in size. Radiometric dating gives an approximate age of 700,000 years old. Specimens are irregular in shape and are mainly black & opaque with a glassy lustre on fractured surfaces.
Salt Pseudomorphs on a limy marl matrix collected from the Triassic Aust Cliff in Avon. Numerous cubic imprints can be identified on the limy marl substrate of these specimens; they serve as interesting educational pieces.

Specular hematite mineral specimens from Florence Mine, Egremont, Cumbria. They are on a massive hematite matrix, black in colour with a metallic lustre giving the samples a silver, shimmering appearance. The specularite has excellent but small anhedral crystal habits. Available in a range of sizes, the pieces will come supplied in a card tray with label.
