Description
Witness the captivating Granite Adamellite slide, actively showcasing dynamic crystals of quartz, biotite, and feldspar. We personally gathered this material from the renowned Shap Fell quarry in Cumbria, famously known as 'Shap Granite'. This rock exhibits a relatively simple mineral composition, consisting of biotite mica, quartz, and two feldspars: plagioclase and k-feldspar. Notably, the dominant orthoclase feldspar actively imparts the distinctive pink color to the Shap granite.
Crafted to a precise thickness of 30 microns, this Granite Adamellite slide rests on a 46 x 27 mm glass slide, expertly fitted with a cover slip. To ensure utmost convenience and protection, it comes supplied with a specially designed protective sleeve and an informative label.
