This microscope is a teaching and amateur grade, trinocular, transmitted light illuminated, polarising microscope suitable for observing polarasable materials such as geological thin sections.
This microscope has a trinocular head, a pair 10x eyepieces with a crosshair, 4 achromatic objectives 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x (optional 60x and 100x oil objectives), a rotating, centerable stage, a retractable analyser in the head, rotatable polariser, adjustable LED transmitted light, Abbe condenser, and coarse/fine focus with adjustable tension and limit stopper
The JPL-1350T is equipped with a smooth, rotating, graduated stage and a set of polarisers that allow observation of all types of transmitted light polarised specimens such as thin sections of minerals, polymers, crystals and particulates. It is equipped with a comfortable viewing, adjustable trinocular head. The analyser mounted in the head is retractable and the polariser is mounted over the collector near the lamp and is rotatable though 360°.
We also supply thin sections of various rocks and minerals that would make a fantastic compliment to this microscope. Click HERE to view them.
Features of the GXM-JPL1350T polarising microscope:-
- Very good value for money
- Lightweight and compact
- Magnification range 40x-400x
- Easy to set up and use
- LED illumination which offers a long life time and low running costs
