The Geologist's Pendulum Pencil Magnet serves as an excellent tool for conducting tests and determining magnetism in specimens. Crafted in the form of a pencil, complete with a pocket clip and a Neodymium Magnet tip.
The Pendulum Pencil Magnet for geology also features a Stainless Steel spring wire clip positioned at the centre. The "pencil" pivots around this central holder when you grip the magnet or attach a line to the clip.
When examining a Core Sample, the Neodymium Magnet at the tip moves toward magnetic minerals within a rock specimen when brought into proximity, facilitating efficient analysis. The nylon body is bright orange in colour, which increases visibility. Additionally, due to the lighter weight of the body compared to the aluminium swing magnetic pens (which can be found HERE), this makes even small instances of magnetic attraction observable. This pencil magnet measures 13 cm in length with bulk discounting options available.
