The are from the Coral bay area of Cyprus, a location well known for clam fossils. These small and delicate fossils have been prepped and cleaned, there for exhibit no matrix, this also allows one to see fine minute details on the shells, such as the fine ribbing and the very minute ‘spikes’ which protrude upward from the shells surface.
