The Ruper hand lens is a renowned magnifier loupe favored by professionals and long-time enthusiasts across various industries. This specific jewelry loupe provides 10x magnification along with a spacious 20mm viewing field, helping reduce eye strain. It also allows users to examine a wide area at once. This Ruper model delivers exceptional clarity in vision thanks to its doublet design with aplantic optics. This means it utilises a combination of concave and convex optical glass to minimize the effects of spherical aberrations.
It’s worth emphasising that Ruper lenses are indeed doublets, despite common misconceptions and sellers’ claims of them being triplets. Their crafting process uses exclusively two optical lenses and a spacer. The lens comes in a stainless steel body with a chrome finish, displaying the ‘Ruper’ name on one side. Another premium magnifier and loupe from this esteemed Japanese brand, it proves invaluable for professionals and enthusiasts in fields like geology, crystallography, and sedimentology for enhanced viewing of rocks, minerals, fossils, and crystals.
