Crinoid stem fossils from Morocco, these excellent fossil specimens show the stems of crinoids, a species of echinoderms, similar to brittle stars and star fish from the Silurian period. They show the segments which make up the stem very well, with lengths ranging from 30 mm to 60 mm in size. Crinoid stems are a useful zoning fossil, these samples are supplied by weight, ideal for educational use, kits, packs and more, where a quantity of them may be required without costing too much. Collected from Djebel Issoumour, Alnif, Morocco, the pieces will come supplied in a polythene bag with a label.

Leptopius duponti fossil weevil cacoons from the Holocene period found in Elliston, south Australia. Known informally as pixie clogs, the cacoons were spun by the weevils in their pupae stage in order to protect them during metamorphosis into adult beetles. An interesting piece for fossil collectors or educational use to exhibit an example of a ‘trace fossil’, the cacoons are approximately 50 mm in length and 30 mm in diameter and come supplied in a card tray with a label.
