It is an abundant rock forming mineral that is most commonly green in colour. These specimens date from the Stenian period, approximetely 1 – 1.2 billion years ago. It forms from either hydrothermal or metamorphic origin, and is particularly common in metamorphosed basalts and gabbros. In those, circumstances, the epidote replaces the plagioclase, pyroxene and olivine. Epidote has no particular industrial uses but is still well liked by collectors due to its distinct green colouration. elenite pencils are exquisite and captivating mineral formations that showcase the natural beauty of selenite, a form of gypsum. They exhibit a pristine translucence that allows light to pass through, creating a mesmerising glow when held to the light. Each selenite pencil measures approximately 14cm in height and 4cm in width whilst being smooth and well weighted. This makes them easy to hold whilst remaining promenant enough to stand out as a decorative piece. They all feature a flat, hexagonal base, making them easy to stand on a range of surfaces. Since these items are made from 100% natural selenite, it is common to expect some slight variance between each specimen, whether that be in shape, size or the occasional scratch. Despite this, these selenite pencils would make a great addition to any room, adding some flair and elegance.
