Rock crystal is the name given to transparent, clear quartz, so clear are these mineral specimens that they almost look like large chunks of shattered glass. Quartz is the most common mineral found at the surface of the earth and rock crystal is one of the most common, colourless, it is fairly hard and on some of the larger surfaces may show a conchoidal fracture. These specimens are approximately 2″ x 2″ in size and are excellent for collectors and for use in education as it is a major mineral. Supplied in a card tray with an information label.

The rock crystal mineral specimens are a clear form of quartz, they show a conchoidal fracture when observed closely and are ideal for schools, educational and teaching use, specimens supplied are a range of sizes and come in a strong polythene bag by kilo weight..
Quartz crystals from Madagascar, these mineral specimens are small in size, between 3 to 5 cm, as they are A grade, they are completely transparent, crystal clear show the excellent termination of the points and crytsal system. Ideally suited for university level educational use if large numbers are required for students to observe or for serious collectors.
1 kilogram of rock crystal points and bodies (fragments) from Morocco, transparent with inclusions, this B grade material varies in size between 20 mm to 100 mm, also known as quartz points, they are excellent value for money where large quantities may be required such as for crafts, educational use, kits or more. Supplied in a polythene bag with a label.
Rock crystal beds of short quartz crystal points, these mineral specimens come from Durham, UK and are quite popular as are most British minerals, each sample is semi transparent and on a matrix. Samples are supplied in a white card tray with an information label. .

Chromite mineral specimens from Feragen chromium mines, Feragen, Røros, Sør-Trøndelag, Norway. Specimens are found along side many dunitic rocks as expected of this site, they are black in colour and fairly dense, available in a range of sizes, each supplied in a labelled card tray.

Cobaltoan dolomite from the Kamoto mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa, well known for it’s striking pink colouration, this variation of the mineral, dolomite is quite rare, with only 5 known localities in the world.
