Scaphites sp Ammonite from the Cretaceous Bear Paw Shale Formation of South Dakota. The ornamentation of this ammonite makes it particularly appealing. The shell is nacreous in places i.e. resembles mother of pearl and it exhibits tubercles and ribs. These specimens comes in two sizes: medium – 3.5 cm and large – 5 cm in diameter and is supplied in a small plastic bag with an information label. *Note* the tubercles and ribs may not be as prominent/developed in the smaller, medium specimens.

Desmoceras ammonite fossil specimens dated to the lower Cretaceous period, making them over 102 million years old, these samples were found in the Mahajanga Province, Madagascar and exhibit a silver coloured shell, very faint ribbing and a shallow coil. They are approximately 25 mm in diameter and also show iridescence on the shells surface. Suitable for older children, collectors, gifts and educational use, the sample will come supplied in a polythene bag with a label.
