A stunning display piece of Stalactitic Quartz, collected from Oughoud in Morocco. Quartz Stalactites are incredibly unique quartz formations which form in certain types of hot springs, where microbe made formations gets coated in a crystal layer by boiling water. This superb display specimen measures approximately 20 x 18 x 5 cm at its widest and longest points. It measures approximately 1700 grams. Due to the valuble nature of our display pieces, they will all be shipped via courier only. Supplied with an information label.

They typically form in semi arid (dry) climates, where saline water evaporates, which leaves behind cubic salt crystals. Cut ulexite mineral specimens from California, USA. A mineral similar to gypsum, ulexite is able to transmit light through its long axis, meaning if placed above an image or text, will transmit it to the samples surface as an image. These particular specimens are of specularite crystals in a massive form, therefore the samples have a highly crystalline texture. These particular samples were collected by staff from Iveland, Norway. This locality is also where we collected the smokey quartz from. It is in a massive form and has a very fine crystalline texture, this also results in it sometimes being sharp, so caution is advised when handling these samples.
