Salt Pseudomorphs on a limy marl matrix collected from the Triassic Aust Cliff in Avon. Salt Pseudomorphs serve as important paleoenvironmental indicators. They typically form in semi arid climates when saline waters evaporate leaving behind cubic salt crystals. These salt crystals later dissolve and their cubic imprints (pseudomorph) are occasionally preserved. We supply our specimens in 2″ x 2″, 3″ x 2″ and 4″ x 3″ card trays, you can chose the size you require from the drop down menu. Our specimens exhibit numerous cubic imprints and would serve as interesting educational pieces.

This red coloured Marl is a lime (Calcium Carbonate) rich mudstone from the Triassic of Gloucestershire. They are supplied in labelled card trays.
Rock Gypsum, a Triassic evaporite deposit from Nottinghamshire, U.K. Specimens are supplied in labelled card trays.

Halite mineral specimens supplied in bags of 1kg. Excellent quality samples mined from Bouldy mine, Redcar in Yorkshire, UK, the pieces are clear to orange and transluscent, some may show cubic crystal cleavage too as well as inclusions of clay. Magnesite mineral specimens from Greece, the samples are an off white colour and exhibit a somewhat botryoidal texture, formed around ultramafic rocks and metamorphic zones, these specimens are limited and will come supplied in a card tray with a data label.
Baryte mineral specimens collected form Somerset in the UK, exhibiting a bladed crystal habit or massive form, the dense specimens are an off white, yellow or brown colour due to staining from hematite (iron ore), available in various sizes, ideal for educational use.
Pyrtic crystal cubes from Spain, depicting excellently the cubic crystal form that pyrite forms in. These samples exhibit the brassy colouration and metallic lustre expected from pyrite and are available in two sizes, 1 cm and 2 cm cubes, supplied in a polythene bags with a data label.

Rhodolite garnets in quartz and mica schist matrix from Southern Norway exhibiting bright vibrant pink coloured garnets in a white quartz and metallic grey mica schist with a start contrast of colours, these minerals specimens are available in 3 sizes and come supplied in a card tray with a label.
Cut ulexite mineral specimens from California, USA. A mineral similar to gypsum, ulexite is able to transmit light through its long axis, meaning if placed above an image or text, will transmit it to the samples surface as an image. Hence the name TV rock, excellent for children, these pieces are available in several sizes and will come supplied in a card tray with an information label.
Cleavelandite mineral specimens available in various sizes, a variation of albite, it is pale green or an off white colour, these pieces come from Evje in Southern Norway and exhibit a massive form of cleavelandite. Specimens may also come with accessory minerals such as smokey quartz or other feldspars.

Chalcedony mineral specimens from Morocco, the pieces belong to the quartz family of minerals and is very similar to carnelian, even having a waxy lustre, although it tends to have a botryoidal crystal habit. The pieces are blue, white, red and orange and available in various sizes, supplied in a card tray with an information label.

They are on a massive hematite matrix, black in colour with a metallic lustre giving the samples a silver, shimmering appearance. The specularite has excellent but small anhedral crystal habits.
