Salt Pseudomorphs on a limy marl matrix collected from the Triassic Aust Cliff in Avon. Salt Pseudomorphs serve as important paleoenvironmental indicators. They typically form in semi arid climates when saline waters evaporate leaving behind cubic salt crystals. These salt crystals later dissolve and their cubic imprints (pseudomorph) are occasionally preserved. We supply our specimens in 2″ x 2″, 3″ x 2″ and 4″ x 3″ card trays, you can chose the size you require from the drop down menu. Our specimens exhibit numerous cubic imprints and would serve as interesting educational pieces.
