Olivine mineral specimens from Åheim, Norway, samples vary from granular to crystalline but all exhibit a bright olive green colouration. Collected by staff, olivine is a subsurface mineral which is unstable at the surface and weathers easily, making it rare. It may also contain the gemstone, peridot as well as kammererite. Available in various sizes and supplied in a card tray with an information label.
Garnet peridotite igneous rock specimens found in the Gusdal Olivine Pit, Åheim, Norway is an ultra mafic rock which contains high pressure and temperature minerals such as olivine and garnet crystals. Exhibiting a green colouraiton with striking red spots, these samples were pushed up to the earths crust during the Caledonian orogeny during the Ordovician and Devonian period over 400 million years ago. The specimens are dense as expected and are ideal for children and serious collectors because of the colourful appearance as well as for higher educational use to describe deep mantle material as well as orogenic processes. The hand samples are available in various sizes and come supplied in a card tray with an information label.

Dunite igneous rock specimens from the Gusdal olivine pit in Åheim, southern Norway. Composed of green olivine minerals with chromite and pyroxene crystals, the rock forms as intrusive igneous plutons in the earth mantle down to 400 km deep and displays a coarse texture and green colouration. Overall, the samples are fairly granular and weak due to their chemistry and form part of the basal gneiss complex of southern Norway. Ideal for various levels of collectors and for higher level education and research use, the samples are available in three sizes and come supplied in a card tray with an information label.

Eclogite is an uncommon metamorphic rock, composed of mainly two minerals, reddish-brown garnets and omphacite, a green pyroxene. Other minerals, such as blue kyanite and white quartz may also be present. Over all, it is an attractive looking yet rare rock, with a vibrant green colouration with red garnets to break it up. These rocks come from Almenning, Norway. Specimens are supplied in card trays with labels and come available in 4 sizes.

Milky quartz mineral specimens from Norway, with a pale white colouration, hence the name, sometimes also known as white quartz, snow quartz or simply quartz. These particular samples were collected by staff from Iveland, Norway. This locality is also where we collected the smokey quartz from. It is in a massive form and has a very fine crystalline texture, this also results in it sometimes being sharp, so caution is advised when handling these samples. It is available in various sizes and supplied in a card tray with an information label.
Fulgerite mineral specimens from Algeria, formed from lightening strikes which pieces the desert sands instantly melting and fusing the quartz crystals creating a light weight hollow piece of rock.

A mineral similar to gypsum, ulexite is able to transmit light through its long axis, meaning if placed above an image or text, will transmit it to the samples surface as an image. Chalcopyrite mineral specimens from Sulitjelma, Norway, a major copper ore mineral, these pieces exhibit excellent quality chalcopyrite detailing the shiny brassy yellow colouration and metallic lustre expected. Pyrite is a well known and common mineral found around the world, commonly known as fools gold, it has a brassy yellow colour and metallic lustre, most pyrite people will see will likely be pyrite crystal beds or chunks. These specimens are individual cubes of pyrite which demonstrate the signature cubic crystal structure. These samples are from Spain and are available in 2 sizes: 1 cm and 2 cm cubes and come supplied in a polythene bag with an information label.
Rhodolite garnets in quartz and mica schist matrix from Southern Norway exhibiting bright vibrant pink coloured garnets in a white quartz and metallic grey mica schist with a start contrast of colours, these minerals specimens are available in 3 sizes and come supplied in a card tray with a label.
Moss Agate mineral specimens from India, deep green in colour due to the presence of chrome and iron mineral impurities, this chalcedony mineral breaks with a conchoidal fracture, has a glassy texture and can have sharp edges, caution is advised.
