They adhere to both ISO (International Standard) and ASTM (American Standard). Manufactured in the UK, Glenammer uses stainless steel to craft both the mesh and body of the sieves. This choice ensures that the sieves are non-magnetic, reducing interference when sieving other magnetic-bearing sediments and samples.
Each sieve undergoes individual laser marking on the sieve body, making it easily trackable. Glenammer engineers have also designed these sieves with a completely sealed construction. This eliminates any possibility of residual material, thereby preventing cross-contamination between samples. Moreover, this sealed design simplifies the cleaning and washing process, as there are no sharp edges to catch debris. It also enhances user safety, as there is a reduced risk of injury.
These sieves are the larger lab-standard 300 mm diameter models. Their wide diameter allows for processing a larger quantity of samples. However, they are classified as lower height (half height) sieves, with a depth of 38 mm (1.5 inches). This makes them particularly advantageous for fieldwork, as their shorter height reduces bulkiness compared to standard lab sieves.
