The partial dental plate of an Elasmodus fish collected from the Palaeocene Woolwick Bottom Beds in Kent, UK. Elasmodus is a genus of chimaeroid fish. Today chimaeroid fish reside largely in deep waters and their closest living relative are sharks despite having branched off from sharks 400 Mya. Naturally the size and shape of the dental plate fragments varies but we offer two general sizes: Small fragments measures approximately 1 to 2 cm in length and large fragments measure approximately 3 cm at their longest point. Supplied in small plastic bags with an information label.
