Micraster cortestudinarium fossil echinoid specimens, a common fossil found around UK, the samples are an off white colour and measure around 6 cm in size. They lived during the Cretaceous period, over 66 million years ago in what is now Kent, UK. The samples will come supplied in card tray with an information label, suitable for more serious collectors to show the various species with the Echinoid family.

Micraster cortestudinarium are an extinct species of echinoid, the fossils of which are common around the UK in Chalk beds. They are of Cretaceous age, living in marine environments between 100 to 66 million years ago. These particular samples exhibit the typical heart shape expected of these species and show fairly good morphological features including shape, size and petal like ambulacra. They are available in optional sizes and are suitable for educational use as zoning fossils and serious collectors. Each fossil will come supplied in a card tray with an information label.
