Specimens of Talc, collected from Egypt. Talc is a common clay mineral that is easily identifiable due to its greasy texture. Talc is extremely soft, with a hardness of just 1 on Mohs scale and is also the primary component in talcum powder. These specimens are pale green in colour. Lazurite is the primary mineral that contributes to its distinct blue colouration. Calcite and pyrite are the other constituent minerals that make up this rock. It is most recognisable by its low Mohs hardness of 3, and its high reactivity with even weak acids. These specimens come in lots of 1kg, in a heavy duty polythene bag. Pieces come in various sizes.

These samples are available by weight, ideal if you require a large amount for a more cost effective prices, the pieces vary between 20 to 100 mm in size and will come seal in a polythene bag with a small information card.
