Nummulites laevigatus foraminifera fossil specimens within a beige white limestone matrix, these micro fossils are excellent examples of these amoeboid protists, they exhibit exceptional details, dated to the Eocene period, they were found in Soissons, Aisne, France. Selenite crystal specimens, a variety of gypsum from Oxford, UK, found in the Oxford clay, the crystals are transparent, have a pearly or vitreous lustre and appear as clusters of crystals. Pyrrhotite mineral specimens from Evje, southern Norway, the samples are grey in colour and and have a metallic lustre which is very shiny when a fresh surface is exposed, however, these surfaces dull very quickly upon exposure to the air. Noticiably magnetic like magnetite, this iron sulphide mineral is fairly dense, was collected by staff from Norway and is available in a small size only. Supplied in a 2″ x 2″ card tray with a label.
