Dolomite is an important sedimentary and metamorphic mineral, found in dolostones and metadolostones, and as an important mineral in limestones and marbles where calcite is the major mineral present. These samples are supplied by weight in lots of 1 kilo and come supplied in polythene bag with an information card, suitable for large quantities with an economical price.

Specimens of Brown Dolomite Crystal Beds, collected from Cumbria. These specimens exhibit excellent crystal structure, and show the tri-rhombohedral curved faces that is typical of dolomite. The reddish brown colour is due to haematite staining. Specimens come in lots of 1kg, in a heavy duty polythene bag. Pieces are of various sizes.

Specimens of Talc, collected from Egypt. Talc is a common clay mineral that is easily identifiable due to its greasy texture. Talc is extremely soft, with a hardness of just 1 on Mohs scale and is also the primary component in talcum powder. These specimens are pale green in colour. They come in a heavy duty polythene bag with pieces of various sizes.

Lazurite is the primary mineral that contributes to its distinct blue colouration. Calcite and pyrite are the other constituent minerals that make up this rock.
