The KM-7 Kappa Magnetic Susceptibility Meter—a compact, user-friendly device actively designed to assess the magnetic susceptibility of rocks and drill cores. This tool excels in both fieldwork and precision lab measurements of magnetic properties.
Operating across a range of ± 999 x 10-3 SI units, the KM-7 automatically adjusts its range for active magnetic susceptibility measurements. It boasts exceptional sensitivity, capable of detecting values as low as 1 x 10-6 SI units. With a memory capacity of up to 999 records, it efficiently stores measurement data. Crafted for field use, the KM-7 features robust construction, effectively resisting dust and water. It conveniently straps onto the wrist or attaches to a belt via a leather case.
The KM-7 precisely calibrates for an ideal scenario—where the measurement coil adheres to a perfectly smooth surface, mirroring a magnetically uniform, isotropic half-plane. For uneven surfaces, it’s equipped with a pin attachment to ensure precision. When utilising the pin, be sure to activate the dedicated PIN mode.
Expanding its utility, the KM-7 excels in actively measuring drill cores. By configuring the sensor settings to CORE mode and inputting the drill core diameter, the device seamlessly facilitates measurements. However, exercise caution when measuring directly on drill cores to avoid inaccuracies arising from residual metallic fragments.
The KM-7 Kappa Magnetic Susceptibility Meter offers three distinct measurement modes: single mode, scan mode, and remote mode.
We also offer other devices for geophysical testing which you can view HERE.

Introducing an outstanding triplet hand lens with a remarkable x 10 magnification and a wide 21 mm viewing field. This loupe enables detailed examination of specific areas within a sample. Crafted using three precision-ground glass elements (triplet optics), it delivers exceptionally clear vision. Additionally, this model features both LED and UV lighting options, making it an ideal tool for geologists and entomologists. In particular, for ex the fluorescent properties of minerals, crystals, and insects.
The lighting system consists of a ring of six bright white LEDs that enhance the visibility of your chosen sample. The single UV LED emits longwave fluorescence, causing many materials to emit a glowing effect in the dark.
Encased in durable plastic housing that seamlessly integrates with a stainless steel body, this loupe is powered by three LR297 button batteries (included). It comes with a key for easy battery replacement, and a leather case for added convenience. This versatile lens is an indispensable tool across various professions including geology, sedimentology, mineralogy, entomology, botany, jewelry making, gem cutting, and more
An ideal, inexpensive backpack with three pockets suitable for carrying and storage of specimens, tools and equipment while in the field.

The GS-512i is a 512 channel gamma-ray spectrometer which is designed to aid with field exploration of mineral deposits via gamma spectrometry. This functions by measuring concentrations of naturally occurring isotopes K (potassium), U (uranium) and Th (thorium). The GS-512i allows users to set up eight Regions of Interest (ROI’s) to measure pulse counts in channels and energy ranges defined by the user. The GSP-3 version is standard for this product.
