Specimens of Talc, collected from Egypt. Talc is a common clay mineral that is easily identifiable due to its greasy texture. Talc is extremely soft, with a hardness of just 1 on Mohs scale and is also the primary component in talcum powder. These specimens are pale green in colour. They come in a heavy duty polythene bag with pieces of various sizes.

It is easy to identify due to its perfect basal cleavage resulting in it forming in thin laminae (sheets). These specimens come in lots of 1kg, in a heavy duty polythene bag. Specimens of Blue Calcite, collected from Mexico. Blue calcite is a variation of the mineral calcite. The distinct colouration of these specimens is due to the prescence of oxidised copper impurities. These specimens come in lots of 1kg, in a heavy duty polythene bag with pieces of various sizes.

It has two cleavage planes at right angles to each other, which causes the crystals to break into rhombic forms. It often has a pale pink colour but can also be white or pale grey.
