Aragonite groups or crystals beds from Morocco, they appear to have a calming white or pale yellow to light brown colouration and excellent botryoidal crystal habits, in some cases almost stalactitic. Aragonite is one of the two common, naturally occurring crystaliine forms of calcium carbonate, CaCO3 , the other being Calcite. It is formed by both biological and physical processes, including precipitation from marine and freshwater environments or in terms of biology, some shell fish shells are composed of aragonite as are some corals. These mineral specimens are only available in larger sizes, quite attractive, they will come supplied either in a card tray or wrapped up (depending on if we can fit the piece into a tray or not) with an information label,

Specimens of Aragonite Sputnik, collected from Morocco. These specimens exhibit the excellent twinned crystal habit where the crystals radiate outwards. These specimens come in lots of 250g, in a polythene bag. Pieces are of various sizes.
Aragonite in sputnik form, exhibiting the excellent twinned crystal habit in which the crystals radiate outwards, similar in appearance to the famous Russian satellite ‘Sputnik’, hence the nickname. The crystals are a bright orange colour and when viewed from certain angles, the orthorhombic shape of the crystals can be seen. Aragonite is one of the two naturally occurring crystaliine forms of calcium carbonate, the other being calcite. It is formed by biological and physical processes, including precipitation of water from marine and freshwater environments. These aragonite “sputniks” were collected from Morocco and will come supplied in a labelled card tray.
Specimens of Aragonite Groups (Crystal Beds), collected from Morocco. These pieces range in colour from white, to pale yellow or light brown. They exhibit a botryoidal crystal habit, and in some cases, almost stalactitic. They come in lots of 1kg, in a heavy duty polythene bag. Pieces are of various sizes.
Fluorescent aragonite mineral specimens from Morocco, this white variation has excellent colouration when exposed to short wave UV lighting, it becomes another worldy green colour, the specimen is only enhance by the aragonite crystals botryoidal crystal forms. Supplied in 2″ x 2″ size only, the samples will come in a card tray with an information label.
Milky quartz mineral specimens from Norway, with a pale white colouration, hence the name, sometimes also known as white quartz, snow quartz or simply quartz. These particular samples were collected by staff from Iveland, Norway. This locality is also where we collected the smokey quartz from. It is in a massive form and has a very fine crystalline texture, this also results in it sometimes being sharp, so caution is advised when handling these samples. It is available in various sizes and supplied in a card tray with an information label.
Pyrite on Rhaetic Bone Bed collected from Westbury-on-Severn, Gloucestershire. Of our specimens it is the pyrite crystal bed which is the key feature, some specimens may exhibit bones or scales but naturally this is no guarantee

Baryte mineral specimens collected form Somerset in the UK, exhibiting a bladed crystal habit or massive form, the dense specimens are an off white, yellow or brown colour due to staining from hematite (iron ore), available in various sizes, ideal for educational use.
gypsum satin spar with an orange colouration, found in Morocco, these mineral specimens exhibit excellent fibrous texture and a silky lustre, along with the unusual orange colour, makes these particular samples very sought after simply just for their unique appearance. Massive specular hematite from Brazil, black colouration and metallic lustre which gives the crystals a sparkling appearance. These particular specimens are of specularite crystals in a massive form, therefore the samples have a highly crystalline texture. They come from Brazil and give off a metallic shimmer when held under certain lighting. Available in various sizes and supplied in card tray with an information label.
Specimens of Salt Pseudomorphs on a limy matrix, collected from the Triassic Aust Cliff in Avon, UK. Salt Pseudomorphs serve as important inicators of paleoenvironmental conditions. They typically form in semi arid (dry) climates, where saline water evaporates, which leaves behind cubic salt crystals. These salt crystals later dissolve, occasionally preserving their cubic imprints These specimens are available in multiple sizes and come supplied in a white card tray with an information label.

These samples are from Spain and are available in 2 sizes: 1 cm and 2 cm cubes and come supplied in a polythene bag with an information label.
Chalcedony mineral specimens from Morocco, the pieces belong to the quartz family of minerals and is very similar to carnelian, even having a waxy lustre, although it tends to have a botryoidal crystal habit.
