Beautiful acicular geothite crystals on fragments of quartz lined geode collected from Amerzgane, Ouarzazate, Morocco. These black needle like goethite crystals are of excellent quality and contrast beautifully against the lustrous white or smokey quartz. The opposing colours make these specimens all the more interesting to observe and the geode acts as natural protection for the fragile goethite crystals. Available in various sizes and supplied in a card tray with a label.

Goethite crystals within a quartz lined geode, these beautiful, eye catching specimens exhibit typical white and transparent smoky quartz crystals along with protruding black goethite crystals which have a needle like accicular form with a vitreous lustre. The stark vibrant contrast of opposite colours of these two minerals will be sure to turn heads, it is often hard to obtain such fine goethite specimens, due to their fragile nature, however, the pockets which the geodes create during formation have proven to be the best environment, keeping the fragile needles protected. They samples come from Amerzgane, Ouarzazate, Morocco and we have various sizes available, each piece will come supplied in a card tray with an information label. Excellent quality specimens and very unique, these are a must have in any collection.

Massive specular hematite from Brazil, black colouration and metallic lustre which gives the crystals a sparkling appearance. These particular specimens are of specularite crystals in a massive form, therefore the samples have a highly crystalline texture. They come from Brazil and give off a metallic shimmer when held under certain lighting. Available in various sizes and supplied in card tray with an information label.
Hematite mineral specimens from Cumbria in the UK, showing partial botryoidal crystal habit and some fibrous habit. Chalcocite is a soft (2.5 – 3 on Moh’s scale) copper sulphide mineral from mexico. The specimens are in a massive form, meaning the crystals are too small to see any crystal habit. However, the specimens still exhibit a metallic lustre. Available in various sizes.

Tektite mineral specimens which were collected from Thailand, and have formed an irregular ‘tear drop’ shape. Each specimen measures 10 – 20mm approx in size. Radiometric dating gives an approximate age of 700,000 years old. Specimens are irregular in shape and are mainly black & opaque with a glassy lustre on fractured surfaces.
Fulgerite mineral specimens from Algeria, formed from lightening strikes which pieces the desert sands instantly melting and fusing the quartz crystals creating a light weight hollow piece of rock.
