Goethite mineral specimens from Morocco, these samples have a black colouration as expected of this mineral as well as a high quality botryoidal crystal habit, where the surface of the samples appear like ‘bubbles’. Goethite is similar in chemical composition and structure to hematite except with a high metallic lustre, for this reason, the samples may look like they have been polished or sprayed with a coating but are completely natural. They will also give a deep dark red streak when used on a streak plate and is a little more denser than hematite. In the modern day, it is used as a source of iron ore, our samples are available in 3 optional sizes and comes supplied in a card tray with an information label.
