Estwing Geological Hammer E30SE

Estwings special edition E30SE is a 22oz (624 gram) head hammer manufactured using Estwing patented drop forge method. This means, the entire hammer is forged from a single pieces of steel as opposed to two pieces of metal thus eliminating the risk of the hammer breaking. It also reduces impact and shock. Similar to the E-30, this special edition hammer is a pointed tip geological hammer which is ideal for intricate breaking of rocks, fossils or minerals, or for extracting fossils or crystals from matrix. The opposing end of the head is flat, providing you with a heavy flat surface for breaking rock down. It has a non reflective matt black finish along the shaft and comes with the old style bound leather grip which has been laquered to keep it from unravelling and a studded end cap. The leather bounding also has a unique tyranosaurus rex skull impritined on it along with the wording, ‘geology tools’. An excellent hammer which has been around for a long time, as the saying goes. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.
