Goethite mineral specimens from Morocco, these samples have a black colouration as expected of this mineral as well as a high quality botryoidal crystal habit, where the surface of the samples appear like ‘bubbles’. Goethite is similar in chemical composition and structure to hematite except with a high metallic lustre, for this reason, the samples may look like they have been polished or sprayed with a coating but are completely natural. They will also give a deep dark red streak when used on a streak plate and is a little more denser than hematite. In the modern day, it is used as a source of iron ore, our samples are available in 3 optional sizes and comes supplied in a card tray with an information label.

Massive specular hematite from Brazil, black colouration and metallic lustre which gives the crystals a sparkling appearance. These particular specimens are of specularite crystals in a massive form, therefore the samples have a highly crystalline texture. They come from Brazil and give off a metallic shimmer when held under certain lighting. Available in various sizes and supplied in card tray with an information label.
Hematite mineral specimens from Cumbria in the UK, showing partial botryoidal crystal habit and some fibrous habit. Specimens of Salt Pseudomorphs on a limy matrix, collected from the Triassic Aust Cliff in Avon, UK. Salt Pseudomorphs serve as important inicators of paleoenvironmental conditions. They typically form in semi arid (dry) climates, where saline water evaporates, which leaves behind cubic salt crystals. These salt crystals later dissolve, occasionally preserving their cubic imprints These specimens are available in multiple sizes and come supplied in a white card tray with an information label.
